    Yoga Classes

I currently teach on Friday at 4:30pm at the Yoga Nest. My class mixes long, strengthening holds with breath to movement flow, allowing you to find a moving meditation with your practice.

    Reflections

As I continue on my yoga journey, I hope to reflect upon my experiences, my growth, my learnings. Stay tuned for future musings.

Background & Education

I loved all forms of movement from a young age and was a multi-sport competitive athlete for many years. Three seasons of full-contact college rugby took a physical toll on my body, but in early 2020 I began to find a balance of strength and ease through my yoga asana practice. As my physical practice developed, I began to find my ujjayi breath, with the help of my teachers Jenn Russo and Ann Austin. Developing my ujjayi breath showed me the power of yoga as a moving meditation to calm the busy chatter in the mind. After relocating to the Big Island of Hawai'i in 2023, I found myself with the time to finally dive deeper into my personal practice by completing my 200-hour teacher training. My training, led by Shivakali Yoga School instructors Gloria Baraquio and Serge Bandura, was an immersive 18-day program held on the eastern side of the Big Island. I've stayed dedicated to my personal practice after completing my 200-hour training, and have the privilege attend classes and continue to learn from the many talented teachers on the Big Island.
